Fostering Student Inclusion & Diversity

The Southern Oregon University Social Justice and Equity Center endeavors to create an inclusive program that promotes academic achievement, celebrates diversity, and supports the rich life experiences of the SOU community. Toward this goal, we seek to advocate on behalf of Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color students, faculty, and staff by maintaining an open center where patrons will connect with a variety of constituencies in order to explore the multifaceted issues of Race and Racial Justice.

Who We Are

We seek to provide students a specific location where they are able to be their most authentic selves without fear of judgment; the space is centered on the BIPoC experience and strives to be a safe environment for our growing community.
